Distance Masters ProgramAdmissions RequirementsStudents with a bachelor level degree in chemistry, pharmacy, the biological sciences, material sciences, chemical engineering or related disciplines are encouraged to seek admission into the distance masters program. There are a number of items that must be submitted in order for you to have a complete application packet. Some of the items are specifically required by the graduate school application processing center (GAPC) and some information is specifically required by our department. All information, from both sources, must be completed before we can begin to consider you application. To satisfy the graduate school (GAPC) the following items are requested:1. Official transcripts from all universities/institutions in which the applicant has studied.2. The application to graduate school. This can be completed online. Click here to apply online. Alternatively you can download a hardcopy of the PDF application form. Note that there are separate applications for international students and domestic students. Please contact Nancy Helm at the address below with any questions regarding the application process. 3. The application processing fee (amount varies). 4. TOEFL results if applicable. These may not be required if you have completed a degree in countries such as the USA, England, Australia and New Zealand, although other countries may also be accepted. You should contact the graduate school to clarify if your institution is recognized by them. The items indicated above must be sent to:University of Kansas Graduate School - Graduate Applications Processing Center (GAPC)1450 Jayhawk Blvd., Room 300 Lawrence, KS 66045-7535 These items should not be sent to the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. It is important to realize the graduate school will not send us any information until all of your information that is supposed to be sent to them is complete. Once the graduate school has received all of the applicable items they will forward this information to our Department. In addition to these graduate school requirements the applicant must send the following items to satisfy our Departmental requirements. The list of material that must be sent separately to our Department include: 1. A brief personal statement (about one page or so) that helps us understand why you are interested in the distance masters program.2. An updated copy of your resume indicating relevant experiences, which should include your educational and research experiences (if applicable). 3. Three letters of recommendation from people whom you believe are the most qualified in commenting on your potential to succeed in graduate studies in our Department. There is no template regarding the format of letters of recommendation but please make sure they are on official letterhead.
